Default Aero Turbine 2525

I was curious as to what ya'll have heard about this muffler? I was browsing the sound clips on youtube and I really liked this one. I like the throaty sound without the glasspack-like rattle/backfire sound.

Does anyone run this right now or know anyone who does? Like it? Pros, cons? How does it flow?

Didn't find anything when I searched besides the muffler poll and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot about it around the web, so thought I'd throw this question out.
Also, the XL versions have resonators built in. What exactly do resonators do? Would that be a good idea or not?

Thanks in advance,
Wyo

Everything I have read elsewhere regarding the 2525 or 3030 has been good.
I personally want the XL version.
The resonator keeps the drone down on the highway.
For some reason, the AT site doesn't come up anymore, at least when I was looking at for it a couple days ago.

I noticed that too, I like that the drone is a little quieter with the XL, and I looked for a site for them but couldn't find one either, only the parleyssdiesel one.

Aero Turbine's are the best muffler you can buy IMO. Had a 3030 on my truck before the turbo and loved it. The XL will have a bit more mellow/smooth sound. I had the regular 3030 with a side exit and it didn't drone while cruising but under throttle is sure makes some noise.

Hmmm... well if you ever find it, let me know.

So do you think this would be a good choice for muffler?

Fully depends on what you want.
Definatly lighter than stock, flows more. The thing with this muffler is that it is expensive, ya can't just buy one and decide you don't like it.

You wont have an issue with not liking it. In fact, you'll love it. The whole muffler, even the internals are completely stainless. They will last forever. They are also a scavenging muffler, so they will "pull" the exhaust out. The price is a little high but for the quality it can't get any better. The sound is ridiculously awesome. Throaty, but deep. Its unique IMO. Without a cat, its a very aggressive tone, but with one, which I prefer, the sound is deep and means business. I have the AT3030 and will be converting back to a catalytic converter in the future, just for preference reasons

Good to know, I found one on ebay for just over $100, I think $120 or so. So that price seemed good to me, and they seem like a pretty slick setup.

I was also planning on running no cat for a while so good to know it still sounds good. I will probably go with a high-flow next summer.

Thanks again for the help guys. I'll let you know how things turn out.

And while I'm at it, would it be smart to go with 3" pipes all the way back and a 3030??
