Default my record high mpgs

i just returned from a 300 mile trip from south texas to north louisiana and i got an amazing 14 mpgs. the most ive ever gotten on the highway was 12.5 and lately ive been getting 11 highway. i bet it helped that i had a pretty strong tailwind helping me out lmao. the funny thing is i havent done anything to the truck that would affect milage except for putting on my headers, but i didnt think that running open headers would bump my mileage that much. i figured it would hurt my mileage more than anything.

Tailwind, less restriction, I presume cruise control, and smooth driving over that distance....makes perfect sense you'd get that high. Well done!!!

Slow it down to 65 if you want more MPG. Whenever I'm driving long distance through Iowa I get 16 to 18, provided no head win.

i built it out of parts from a nv231j(from a wrangler iirc), a np321d(my orignal before it exploded), and a np231hd, along with a few weld beads in places these things are prone to cracking. and when i have money to have a new driveshaft built im gonna install a SYE(slip yoke eliminator)
