Im looking into buying a 01 ram 1500 that has 284K miles on it its a 5.9L V8 is it worth trying to buy this truck and if so what all do i need to ask the dealer about and what would be a fair price? First time buying a truck and i just need a cheaper truck so my wife can take our daughter to school and i can have something to drive back and forth to work.

 

Where are you at, what options does the truck have? almost 300K miles is a LOT here....

Im up in North dakota and im not sure what all the options are as of yet.

 

one thing i do know is that they are asking $2800 for it.

 

and now i just found out that it has not even been inspected by the dealer and that it for sure needs a new power steering pump lovely

 

offer them $800 and not a dime more

 

Too much with that many miles.

do you have the add from the website , with that many miles im sure alots been replaced already
