Easily $2500-3k, and it still needs a bigger turbo which will set me back another ~$700. The work itself isn't too bad if you have any fabrication and mechanical skills.

dang... that is impressive.. but, I gotta say, still discouraging..

*--- a half a bar of boost makes that engine produce power comparable to a built big block.. that is awesome...

*--- it takes a half a bar of boost to make our engines produce power comparable to a big block.. that sucks..

ya know what I mean?

Hans, great job dude.. if I ever enter the world of boost, the information you've provided on this and other forums will be enough to allow me to do it smartly.. dig it!!

There's no doubt these engines can make big power, especially in stroker form, but you end up with high compression and aggressive cams and streetability and mileage goes out the window, boost is the best of both worlds.

Thought you guys might like this comparison. I added 18% to my numbers to roughly estimate my output at the crank, then I combined it with Chrysler's dyno sheet for the stock 5.2 Magnum. Now that I've cleaned up my AFRs the toque drop-off shouldn't be quite so bad. Also added another pound of boost yesterday.

Pretty much the same. If I beat the **** out of it it'll tank but it did when it was N/A too.

Tell her its compensating for the plenum problems.... and it's a 'fix', NOT an upgrade.
