Sounds like a good price for here as well, but of course consdition such as rust, would greatly effect value to me. Just door skins and fender would cost more than that. Make sure doors are some cab config. Std cab doors will not work on quad cab.

Between work and taking father-in-law to VA hospital, and my current health issues, it has been a little slow getting finished. Got ready to paint rear bumper base tonight....and discovered I am out of Reducer. Have to go to Abilene tomorrow for dr appt, so I'll swing by PPG distributor for more. May also pick up paint for Jag so I have it on hand.

Dr's orders are to stay off my feet, but I never was much on following directions...so I reduce my standing time. PT appointment Friday. Hope to spray base tomorrow evening now, clear on Saturday, and start sanding roof to buff. Just have to work slow and the heat is not helping any!

I know this heat is brutal. I was sitting outside watching the trees and waiting for them to burst into flames. It was 113 here yesterday and 110 today. On top of that ive been working in houses without a/c.

Take it like the rabbit and turtle. Slow and steady wins the race. Hope all goes well.

Slow for sure. Also helping a young kid work on is 64 checy in my garage on weekends. I can so most of that sitting down. He rebuilt driveshaft last weekend, and we'll tackle brakes this coming weekend. Then I may start him on the roof sanding s he is much younger and more agile! Once I get bumper, roof and hood sanded and buffed, all I lack will be bed liner.

Also drove Ram to Abilene today and noticed a slight rattle at the front. When I installed new front bumper, the outer brackets would not fit. They are about 1/2" too long. So I need to cut them down and weld and reinstall.

Hopefully clear on rear bumper tomorrow!

Sanded and buffed rear bumper. Installed caps. A;so removed rear tag holder, cleaned and sanded and sprayed with bedliner. It was the only dingy plastic left on the truck!
