Default 37" hummer tires on my 2500?

I have a 2001 2500 4x4 with a camper package, 2" leveling kit in the front, I have 43" now to the top of the wheel wheels with 265's, Can I fit 37 Hummer tires and if so is there any special back spacing or can I use the stock Hummer wheels too?

I think the hummer wheels will indeed bolt on, I seem to remember seeing pics... don't recall if any modifications need to be done though.

Even on a 2500 with 2" of lift, 37's are gonna rub in various places. You probably want at LEAST 4"s of total lift to fit those, a bit more would be better. Body lift would work, but, I am not a fan of body lifts.... up to you.

Pull the plastic inner fenders out, feed them to your local dumpster, and don't flex a whole lot. You will be fine.

I would use a wheel with less backspacing, those wide 37x12.5x16.5's will be doing all kinds of nasty things up against your control arms. give 'em some space

How would a 2500 with a 4"lift and 37" humvee tires handle a gooseneck? My dad has 16.5 rims and we have a set of those 37"s that he wants to put on, however it is mostly used for towing (re-gearing would have to be done)... i guess the real question is how tall is too tall for a gooseneck?

Default Back spacing

So what would be the desired back spacing for the 37's
The Hummer rims are 7 " back spacing I dont think those are gonna work for me

Well the first question is how that lift is gonna affect payload. If it uses stock rear leaves and blocks, throw some anti-wrap bars on and haul away. If it uses new leaves, most likely load capacity will be severely decreased.

I would think that with that moderate build the deck height would be fine for a gooseneck.

Hummer double beadlocks are designed for portal axles, that's why the center sits just about flush with the outer rim.

I would look for some 16.5x8's (or 9's if you can find them) with no more then 4.5" of backspacing, and no less than, say, 3.5. Push 'em out too far and they will rub your rear fenderwell like crazy. You might consider looking at the Cummins forum to see, as I seem to remember a few guys running 37's with 2" spacers.

Ok, thanks for the reply, and sorry WILDCYDE for interrupting
