Anybody know of a realtime engine monitor that works on an OBD-I.My '95' Ram 1500 w/5.9 is still not running quite right.Dealer hooked it up but can't figure it out either..They didn't charge me either can you believe it...
Thanks

Man I don't know about OBD I monitoring, but someone has to have something.

Dealer DIDN"T charge anything! Mark that s**t down on a calendar. It's gotta be a once in a lifetime thing!

Got a laptop? Get the right cable, and free software, and you can monitor/log just about anything you want.

Yep, the third gen (firebird/camaro) crowd that I used to hang at had a selection of forums dedicated to reprogramming their ECM's. Granted, there was some hoop jumping involved, but, once you got started, it was eminently doable. There isn't as much data available on the OBDI datastream, but, enough to hopefully isolate the problem. Software and cables are available pretty cheap from a variety of sources. Craig Motes being quite prominent there. (not sure if he delves into non-gm computers though....)
