I ran "E" tires on my old Furd diesel and that was about it. I run "D" tires now, 50 PSI max that I'll usually run at 40-42 PSI unless I'm airiing them down to go off-road. That's a pretty good load range tire to balance towing/hauling with road manners IMO...
Welp I was gonna get "C" tires but they only had "E" in stock and it was getting late and I'm impatient so I got the "E"'s being there only $15 more...

They filled them to 35PSI, truck rides SMOOTH, smoother then my wifes Buick with some flavor of Cooper Tires, can't remember. Honestly they ride better then the brand new Goodyear Tracker 2's that were on the truck...

At 35PSI they grip everything off road too.

Watch your tire wear at that low of a pressure though. If you start seeing significant 'edge' wear, but not the center, bump pressure by a few pounds.

i think Drew has scared me away from ever getting headers for my truck with how many problems he has with leaks. i think i might just port and polish the stock manifolds as much as i can and mod the y-pipe to flow better. the stock manifolds don't leak and i knot there is no gasket at all between them and the head.

i think i have "B" tires on my truck. i think they are rated for 2200LB each and my trucks gvwr is only about 6000lb so they should be more than capable of the job. i always try to keep mine at 35psi. i got nearly 10,000km and the wear pattern seem even.

There isn't anything wrong with headers in general.. there is all grades of crap wrong with hedman headers.. the more I talk about them, the more crap comes to the surface about them.. they are a very very poor choice for quality.. thing is, the flannel is plenty thick, so, this tells me they are a poor temper.. I'm guessing more than knowing.. but that is my guess..

While I'm on the subject, I also ordered a hedman product (i think it was a different brand name, but was same people as hedman), which was a dif cover.. one of those clear things.. I did this when I upgraded gears a little over a year ago..

The cover didn't even try to line up with the bolts.. they were miserably off.. I called and asked for an RMA to replace it and they flat out refused.. they said "you ordered the wrong part", I quoted the number.. they said "well, you obviously don't have a 9.25 rr" .. I said "funny, the carrier and gears figure otherwise".. then they flat said "well, you're stuck with it".. I will never do business with them again, and I will tell people what tools they are with every opportunity that comes along..

I'm going remflex this weekend.. I'm also going stage 8.. also, I'm going to punch clear those silly cali pre-cats.. if it weren't for those, I would never had purchased hedman to begin with.. I was led to believe they were the only shorty that would work.. I was lied to.. live and learn, huh?

lol. i was just looking on summit and noticed something. the hedman brand headers have 1/4" thick flange and all the other brands including the cheapest have a 5/16" thick flange. do you think that 1/16" would make a difference?

It's steel. Yes, it makes quite a bit of difference.

Just bought my first bottle last night at my local Advance Auto Parts.

I have a 1st Gen Durango 2001, 4.7.

I have owned the car since May of 2009, and have used nothing but 87 in it (bad, I know, but at 15.5 MPG, whatddya do?).

After reading up on this and trusting this forum, I felt like it was worth a shot. I purchased 1 8oz bottle for $9.99. I'm at about a half of a tank, and when I got home put in 4oz and let it sit overnight.

Maybe it's the placebo affect, but man I swear this thing ran better on my 10 minute ride to work! I'm going to use 2 oz with my next 2 fill ups to finish off the bottle.

Here's my question: how often should we use this????? Every fill up?

Does the 4.7 have a higher compression rating that specs 91 or 93 gas? If not there's nothing "bad" about using 87 octane in and engine that wont benefit from higher octane fuel if anything its foolish not to... its not better gas just higher octane which causes faster burn.. If you dont have pinging than its working fine. Certainly no worse for the engine than the ethanol fuels We are being converted to...(Remember when running alcohol fuel was a cool performance thing?)
clever though, change the fuel and make it impractical NOT to upgrade to newer engine technology and force the older vehicles out of circulation...
