Rpm shifting
Shift kits can increase fluid pressure. On your trans, about the only other option you have is reprogramming the PCM. (governor pressure is electronically controlled.)
So I shiuld fix my oil pan gasket do the rear seal fix the leaks in my transfer case than redo my tranny filter and do bands and clean governer which in turn help late shifts... Is there a way to check my torque converter to make sure its running properly
This truck has turned into a restoration project at this point its fine by me because ive onlyy had to drop about 600 bucks in parts. wish it wasnt f-ing gunna be 35 degrees this weekend.. Looks like im going to buy filter and oil this week than buy oil pump and seals next week and hope for a day around 50 degree or over next weekend
reprograming would call for a sct correct?
Nope you can have any trans shop turn the line pressure up inside the trans. There is something else they can do that mine has but i cant remember but ive got a combo of both. Im actually taking mine back to have the line pressure uped some more. Its just not quite as firm as id like but will still put your head to the seat hitting 2nd lol.
how much would turning the line pressure up cost??? also my truck shifts a little late the rpms arent that bad but you can hear it and feel it. Im not having any tranny issues besides that im wondering if hypothetically my transmision was starting to go if i eliminated that check valve up by the radiator if that would save or help assist a tranny that may be on the boarder line of starting to go???
