I still have my snap-on timing light with the **** to check spark advance, snap-on dwell/tach that shorts out individual cylinders or even fire or odd fire cylinders, snap-on volt/amp meter. Also several off set dist. wrenches, box end wrench that came with my 33 Ford and lots of other old stuff.
Damn. I better get crackin' then. I am 50, and still working out of my first....
Turn back, man, it's a trap! I'm 50, also, and have got a pretty good running start at my second childhood. Having got all growed up I found myself unable to find the point of it.
Like working for wages, growing up is a highly overrated endeavor.
I hear that. I am medically retired... so, no workin' for me... Much as I would prefer to get up and go to work every day instead..... I must have missed where I was given the choice on that.
ok this guy keeps telling me my 2000 dodge ram sport 5.9 has no distributor cap and rotor for some reason but i know the truck does.I really cant figure out what hes talking about he said something like the truck has dns so it doesnt have a distributor cap and rotor.can anyone tell me what hes talking about?my truck does have adistributor cap and rotor whats this guy thinking?
He's talking about MDS, multi- displacement system. Still wrong about your truck, but that's the only thing close I can think of.

I dont believe he is....I dont think any modern trucks have distributor caps any more...I know the ford f150's don't ... my dads 2005 doesn't. they use coils packs for every two plug wires. lthey are more of a HEI system nowadays all computer controlled and sometimes capable of multiple sparks per stroke if I remember correctly... No doubt one of the reasons newer engines are more efficient.
