Default Driving a new truck

Or at least it seemed liked it this morning!

It was a busy weekend! New heads (NOS), re sealed the plenum (again), new cat, new 3" exhaust, new plugs, and new sensor's. The only thing that wasn't changed was the TV cable. Still haven't received it, so ended up drilling a couple of holes to safety wire it.

It now drives like a totally different truck. Might have to keep it a little while longer

I hope those NOS heads don't bite you. What's up with your plenum that it repeatedly fails?

I'm glad that you're happier with your truck!

Me too on the heads. Checkbook only goes so far though.

The first time I did the plenum I used the Hughes kit, I used the gasket provded, but didn't use any RTV. This time I used the Fel-Pro gasket, and RTV. Hopefully, it's the last time I do that job! On the other hand I'm getting pretty good at it.

I read about using the permatex RTV in one of the numerous posts about plenum gaskets. Someone else was having an issue with their gasket blowing, and used the RTV without any more issues. I used the permatex black RTV, figured it can't hurt.

Stewie, I did the same thing. Followed the instructions to a T. Still blew out a couple of months later. We'll see what happens this time.

Maybe I'll have better luck.
