My first Dyno results
Thanks for posting this info for us to see.
I am not too impressed with what I see though; a 3-4 hp gain over (how your truck sits with its current mods) is minimal at best. I see an approx. increase of 20ftlb tq and that was achieved by removing the death flash/tq management from the pcm. I would now consider your 2nd run as your new baseline. I look forward to seeing just how the sct does with other mods added, different fuel used in the truck and the other tunes used. If this was done on a 97 and under truck and all I saw was a 3-4 hp increase and not much of a tq increase(no tq management on these year trucks to remove) I would not be impressed with those numbers for the cost for the sct.
Very good info thanks.

Hey Wh1t3, hope you will make your way to a dyno at some some point when you get up and running with that cam, I think we're all hungry to see that thing in action.

I'd like to get both 87 and 93 custom performance tunes (no 91 octane in my area) then we can see how much more power is gained from buying more expensive fuel. Hopefully I can get the 93 pulls done in a day or two.

Wish I had done it before the mods but I never thought I'd be the guy doing a dyno cause didn't realize I'd be wanting to do so much to the truck down the road. I'd be willing to contribute a little to a stock 4x4 360 dyno if anyone wants to get one. Would be nice to have that stock baseline to compare.
Yeah, 4x4 would be ideal, not sure how much power is lost from the 4x4 drive train, but if no other takers i'd be happy to contribute a portion toward your dyno run.
I am interested in this thread because once again I am on the fence about buying a SCT. For every 10 good reviews there are at least 1 bad one which is a total failure.
2nd I have a question on the charts...as I read them, the top gains you see with the 87 tune occur above 80 mph. What rpm is that happening at? Thanks.

SCT tune made a difference in mine. No dyno, just seat of my pants. I had fixed plenum and installed new timing set as well, so I went back to original program and noticed the decline. Cannopt tell how muuch, but shift was not as crisp, low end was a little more sluggish. Then went back to tune.
