I agree with HeyYou, I'm right up there on that box with you...this is one of those topics I try not to get started on because I have been accused of ranting too much.

Same as it ever was... same as it ever was... same as it ever was. Since right around January 20, 1981 anyway. And the current front-runner for the GOP nomination for POTUS says he's "a Reagan Republican" as if that's an honorable thing to be. Reagan was an anti-labor deregulator and an aggressive imperialist who diligently served moneyed interests with callous disregard for the working class. He set the course that brought us to right where we are today, which is a pretty fine place to be if you're rich but not so savory for the rest.

Holyweird is going to win this one, and not so very long after this year's election. No one in DC is going to risk pissing off the electorate in an election season, but once it's over you can bet that they're going to go right back to serving their masters.

This is what the early stage of fascist power consolidation looks like. But don't worry, it gets worse.

The tech sector, though, does not control the propaganda machine. In the end, Holyweird will win with concessions made to content providers assuring them of impunity as long as they give up user information upon demand, sans warrant.

My crystal ball reads another story will take interest away from every one taking place right now, and in the next 60~90 days.. put your 5-point harness on, this is THE big one..

What does this have to do with this conversation? - legislation is passed when people are distracted.. and it's always to suite to legislator, not the governed.. what's is setting up right now will allow us to willingly hand everything we have in the spirit of liberties.. there is just about no way around it..

And Google has been caught up in a big sting, and it appears that the behind the doors negotiation is they will track everything by every user....with no "opt out" option. Who knows what info and who they will give it to?

Propaganda is usually funded by the New York and the Wall Street crowd, and the shadow companies around Langly, VA. Anyone ever drive by there? freaky. Real buildings, real people going in and out (well, maybe real people - but they look like real people....) but not real companies....and then the real companies (aka - the military industrial complex).

Of course, here in Texas we have the military industrial complex and the private prison industrial complex (and Lamar Smith....d*** it!)
