I'm not sure what your price range or tire size youre wanting but you could look at the treadwright tires. I've yet to come across a complaint and I think theres a few members here running them.

So you are looking at 33" and 32" size tires.

I've not any experience with those. The wrangler's actually look pretty good. It's basically a 32" tire.

The 33" has some big lugs alright. They seem like they would run pretty loud.

Sorry, I don't have anything to provide.

I'll chime in here I guess...

I bought a set of 33" Treadwrights not too long ago, probably have 1500 on them so far, and I couldn't be happier. They literally cost me less than $500, including mount and balance, they look great, and seem to be wearing perfectly. As a bonus they have a 2 Year/ 24,000 mile warranty, which is more than enough to justify the cost already...

Just something to consider...

Checked out Treadwright
After shipping and then instalation they get pricy
I'm also a little leary of retreads, I had a retread years ago peel off on me on the highway at 70mph, needless to say the resulting near out of control down the highway was not fun. Also the tread that peeled took out my lower rear fender

Wrangler TDs suck. Mine only lasted 25,000 miles.

I know some people bash them but the Goodyear Wrangler Authority is a pretty good tire... They ride smooth on the road, they do have some road noise. I've taken my 2wd drive through some pretty good mud, only gotten stuck twice, one of those times I bottomed out....

However they can get pricey, I paid $984 for 265/70/17E, with road hazard warranty and all the other fee's.

For that price go with them Goodies. Seems like a good deal to me...

Also see if there is a co-op nearby that sells blemished tires. My 315/75/16 Procomp Xtreme AT's were only 560 mounted and balanced. They're a pretty mean all terrain and have a good wear down. I know the co-op I bought mine from also had 33's in several different mud terrains and in street tires, all for around or under 120 a tire.
