I think in 98 Dodge changed the shift pattern for the transfer case. Other than that(since you are getting a parts truck) that should be no big deal.

Dash is different, (cluster shaped differently, gauges get their signals from the CTM, instead of directly from whichever sensor) how the speedo works is different, a lot of the interior wiring is different. Aside from that..... I think everything else is pretty much swappable.

same question. Anyone know where I can find a compatibility chart for Dodge transfer cases? Can I put a 241 or a 241HD into a 1500 that had a 231 stock? Will the jeep cases work in a dodge Ram?
