Quick question. Were will you be mounting your temp gauge at?
Thanks man! I am not quite sure where it will end up. Might buy an "A" pillar pod, as I would like to run a vac gauge too. I test drove a ram that had two mounted under the ashtray, which was easy to see and out of the way of your legs... I'd rather not look down to see it.

Thanks Zman! I was gonna be putting it in the first 12'' of the out line to cooler. I am going to get an add a circuit and just jump off the fuse box, but might need some wire to do so and definitely need some going from the sender to the gauge... What type wire do I look for? Just 12V?

Sorry for the thread full of stupid questions...

Was NOT a direct fit as the eBay seller told me(Performance Curve), spare tire does not fit, about 1'' from the tire. I pulled it until I can figure out some kind of heat shield to protect it or that sob will be melting away. My buddy and I had to do a bit of good ole American ingenuity to make it work. Bottom line is the thing is solid now! LOVE the FM 44 sound... Beasty!

Looks good. Is there a way to cut and spread the tail pieces at the axle out wider to allow spare to fit safely back in there? Best heat shielding is air space!

Nope, if you look really close they are off center from each other about an 1". That's the closest I could get them. If the drivers side went any farther to the outside we would have rubbing on the rear shock tower. Like I said, not a direct fit as they claim. We tried everything but they would have been pointed outwards and would have looked dumb. Easiest thing to do was take it an exhaust shop and get them to bend the pipe some... I'm too cheap so we got it as close as we could and now the spare is currently in my bed...

Thanks man! I just drove it again... I am in love! I will sacrifice that rear tire in the bed for the sweet sound of that FM44 and the 318! Sweet music to my ears!

Sounds good! I need to adress the exhaust on mine, but since it won't change anything mechanically, it hasn't been much of a priority...

Btw for being a PA truck that think seems pretty rust free!

Your telling me! I have the usual door rust in full effect, just drivers side, passenger door is fine, like rust free! lol Extended Cab is pretty bad on DS and less on PS. But overall, not bad. Took me a few months to find it. Other trucks were either rust buckets or trannys were REALLY shot. This one had rust but not bad for its WHOLE life here in PA as carfax showed.

Took a chance. So far shes been a good truck and now sounds mean...lol

Damn, it took me 5 MONTHS to finally get it on... Time flies when you are busy...

Since I live in an area where rust is not an issue, I am curious. Why would rust be more problematice on one side of a vehicle as opposed to the other? Is this typical?
