Still debating on a shotgun, it's come down to either a remington 870 or a mosseberg 500. Gotta be a 12 gauge!
SKS is a great rifle, I have had a few.
If possible try to get a Russian

Here is my Smith & Wessen M&P 15 .223 it has upgraded grip, forgrip, quad rail hand gaurd, tactical sling, Nikon prostaff 3-9x40 scope with nixoplex reticle, also has weaver flat top risor ( not shown in pic). I picked this gun up at the local gun show for $600 brand new with out all my upgrades on it, after everything I got about $1000 in it. Absolutly love this gun and will never get rid of it. 100 yards she makes about a 2 1/2 groups. Have not had a single jam with shooting brass or steel. I pick up 500 rounds at the gun show for $120.

I've got a few. Got a brand new Glock 20sf just sitting here waiting to be used, waiting on a back ordered barrel before I shoot it, don't wanna shoot my nuclear hardcast lead handloads through the stock barrel.

Picked up a CZ-82 a few months ago as my first gun. Love that pistol. Trying to decide on the 12 gauge or 10/22 for my next gun.

I've been looking for an SKS but at the gun shops around here they're ridiculously expensive ($300+) for really bad condition.

I just got my C&R license though, so now I can ship all that commie milsurp stuff right to my house! Wife's gonna be pissed!

Well finally went to the gun show yesterday and bought a remington 870 police edition, and a mosseberg 702 plinkster .22.

After the show I went to academy to buy some ammo,

I bought 225 round of remington .22 caliber bullets for $18, and a case of shotgun shells for $5!

The kid at the counter rang the case up as 1 box of (25) shells, in fact it was 10 boxes of (25) shells, I did the math band it comes down two $0.02 a shell!

So today I'm going to go and shoot some clay pigeons. I also bought a whole case for $5

I have a 20 gauge single shot
old 4-10
and my favorite...which my dad got me when i turned 16...my 1973 Remington 30.30 bolt action rifle. 3 shot clip, MINT condition, came in the original leather case which is mint, and it had a box of winchester bullets from 1973 with one bullet missing...i took the second shot ever from the gun....unfortunatly ive scraped the wood a little over the years...but the shot is dead on...open sights...i dropped a doe through all kinds of thickets in one shot at about 85 yards...awesome gun, no kick

ill try to get a picture, but i have it locked in my fathers gun cabinet.

I got a CZ82 in July of last year. Out in the desert where I'm building my house, the dust is unbelievable. Anything metal gets covered in it and jammed full of it. The CZ is bulletproof. The Makarov 9 mm is a small bullet, but does a nice job within 30' or so. As I mentioned earlier, I only buy Russian commie guns(other than the CZ) because I have bought Chinese and Czech AK's and SKS's that were total junk. Mismatched, incompatible parts, stocks that literally split and fall off with no damage to them and receiver/bolt parts that are so badly machined you have to be a gunsmith to get them to work right. I have now gone through a couple dozen Russian guns, including a really nice Tokarev pistol and they have been brilliantly trouble-free. Chinese and Czech rifles are cheaper for a reason and less than honest sellers will blow smoke up your poop chute to get you to buy them. But they are junk(with some exceptions) and you will most likely not be the exception who gets a good one.
