Washing the Engine ? Do/Don'ts ?

I use this stuff , I spray it everywhere and rinse off . Have had no problems and the engine bay is spotless !

I have already power washed the engine bay and under carraige, but some mud residue remains

Just take some mean green or purple power from the local dollar store and spray it all over. Let it sit for a bit and hose it off. Do it twice if you need to. Then take some tire foam and spray all over. Makes under the hood look brand new. I have done this with all of my vehicles and never had a problem. Well i did take the chrome off of the engine cover of a altima with the degreaser once...
