Default Fog lights

My dodge does not have fog lights but me and my dad found a plug not plugged into anything near the front bumper we think that this might be for lights but on the dash there is no switch for it. So please tell me what that is for.

Seems that dodge didn't use too many different wiring harnesses for these trucks. A lot of folks have noticed connectors for options their truck does not have. Makes adding said options REAL easy.

You should put your truck info in your sig, and your profile. Makes life easier....

+1 on the sig info.
Not sure what year you have and not sure what other years were like but on my 01 there isn't a seperate fog light switch, it's incorporated into the headlight switch. You pull the switch out a notch to turn them on.
Pics of the connectors would help to identify.

Just to point out his truck is a 97' according to his "garage". I'm not sure how those are set up, as the later models (99+ i think) have the **** pull out for fogs

On the older models such as mine there is a button usually right next to the over drive button on the dash. I know that in 1998 dodge redesigned their interior. The plug is right next to the horn under the front bumper.

My sister's 97 Ram has the same setup. I think it is for fogs. Hell the rest of the wiring may already be there. Could just be plug and play.
I think the bumpers are different though, the non-fog light bumpers don't have the mounting holes drilled for them. At least, that's what I was told by a buddy who used to own a 96.

Ya my truck has the two holes in the bumper for em so i don't know I'm thinking about going to the junk yard and looking under the bumpers of all of them there to see if I can find anything out about that plug.

I do believe that would be connector 105, which is indeed for the fog lamps.
