Default My 2 week gas mileage results

Well ive been recording all my miles and amounts put in for the past two weeks in my truck since ive had to go second shift at work, now i have to drive my truck everyday to work which is 125 mile round trip....75% highway 25%city is what ive basically done.

So ive gone through some tanks of gas
everytime i filled up she had around a quarter of a tank...i dont like running it below that...even though it happens ALOT

First fill up averaged............13.081mpg (had my 583 lb snowmobile in the bed)
Second fill up averaged........13.17mpg (Sled was in the bed)
Third fill up averaged...........14.503mpg (Sled was not in the bed)
Forth Fill up averaged..........13.84mpg (Sled was not in bed)
Fifth fill up averaged............12.058mpg (sled was not in the bed)

milage took a dump....but my brakes are grinding and not releasing that well, i can hear them scuffing and i think theres obviously some drag there...gotta do the pads tomorrow before work in the mud driveway..

But i thought id shard that....thats some pretty good results for a 5.9 4x4 with 2252xx miles

Not bad, really. My '96 1500 gets 12-13. I broke 14 mpg once, 90% highway trip.

That has always been my problem with the 360, going back to the 1973 Tradesman box van my dad bought new for our family business. You get terrible fuel mileage for very little power gain. I am cursing and pounding the dash if I get under 16 mpg with my 318 Ram.

Don't pound the dash too hard..... you'll break it.

I see a good candidate here for trying out a bottle of Startron.....also take into consideration of outside temperature......I get better mileage when the temps are above 40 degrees.

Startron and the marine Stabil are both great products for storage purpose's. Other than that, live with the bad mpg's during winter. Think about it, no matter what they add to the fuel in colder weather, (that we all think hurts mpg's) the sensors on the motor are reading colder air and dump in more fuel.

I've been following my gas mileage for a couple weeks. I used the odometer for miles and did the calculations myself. First fill up 9.61 and the second 10.0.

Quick question, my uncle used his scanner and changed my tire size to 275/75 16 (largest he could go) does that correct my odometer or just my speedometer?

I'll vouch for Startron. I see high 12's and low-mid 13's on average driving and over 15 on interstate driving when using Startron.

If I don't use Startron the number's drop.
