Something pops when i turn the wheel

Default Something pops when i turn the wheel

When i turn my wheel either way there is a steady popping. I have no idea what is it and sugjestions?

Check steering gear box for slop, check tie rod ends, check ball joints, etc...

Best way is to have a buddy move the wheel back and forth while you lay underneath and look for any kind of slop.


If you don't find anything there, check the ujoints.

i know that one of my u joints in busted could that be the whole problem?

yeah i got 2 new u joint that are just sitting at the house i havent had a free day to replace them .figured if one went out i might as well do both right.

hey with as many as i have broke i can replace one side in less than 15min... from taking tire off to putting it back on..

That's impressive! I can change a steering gearbox in about 7 haha
