Says it is required by law to put a sticker on the PCM. Someone was living on the edge the day the update was performed.

According to the synopsis comparision charts posted by beeker when the deathflashed truck was compared to a act tune and the HP and torque curves were very close.... I believe the whole death flash thing is honestly severely exaggerated ... I like to believe there is some sort of data for all this death flash talk yet honestly I've never really seen anything but theoretical talk..

NAh..Im just curious if it had it done..I just want my truck to be running at full potential(for a 99 sport with 130k on it)...I dont plan on doing a ton of mods to it(due to body condition)...But to use it as a learning tool for future 2nd gen's I may own...It just to dinged up an such to invest to much, unless I come across a bed an doors in great shape..Then It might happen
Thanks for the link...I just want to clarify its a issue of trying to have a end result of stock power making capability..If the death flash is going to handicap that end result and I have the death flash..I want to know about it...You know?

As previously stated in another post, no one really knows when the flash became standard. 99 is iffy at best. And you are sure you have no ( partial hand written) sticker on the underside of the hood or the radiator support? Give us pics, we love them.

Were were you yesterday Z?
I could have used this reference when vwand dodge was arguing the the death flash was only to cover a leaking plenum and the pinging was only if you had a bad plenum gasket...
notice that article even suggests using a 180 stat and the 3923 plugs.... I got shot down for suggesting the same things yesterday in the plenum tips thread... I guess what right today is wrong tomorrow... like I said so much talk and rarely do we ever see proof of any of it...

Well, it's not ONLY to cover up a bad plenum obviously. But, just so you know, that info is right in our(DF) awesome FAQ/DIY section.
