Call your insurance agent and ask how much it would cost to add another vehicle. Since it IS a 'second' vehicle, and is seldom driven, it may only bump your insurance 100 bucks every six months..... call and ask, you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you cut out a rusty panel, get a grinder like this: http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/chic...1-p-16162.aspx

And a panel crimper like this:

http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/pane...8-p-12676.aspx

Crimp the edge (leaves about an 1/8" offset). The new piece lays perfectly in this offset. Weld it up, grind, and body filler only on the weld. Putty over a large area may tend to crack and break out.

I bought panels from http://www.c2cfabrication.com/. I scrivbed a line where I wanted to cut, and put masking tape along the linse so I could see where to cut. So simple even I could do it!

And just run that puppy down here and we'll put er in the shop! Beer makes paint go on better...my story and I'm sticking to it!

And my Ram only cost about $49 for a year to add it to my insurance....

I have a good grinder pretty much the exact thing as what you linked. The crimper i will have to order.. Im gonna give this whole body work a try and see how it goes!!! I mean how hard can it be

I can see what you mean about the beer thing... There is a certain line were you are in the garage "working" and a point it just becomes "drinking"

Ill be starting on it all in the next week or so.. When I run into issues I will for sure be here asking ya!

When I was having a little difficulty on mine, I went to a local body shop and asked for a scrap hood or fendewr to practice with. He pointed to his swcrap pile and said, "help yourself!' If you can do that, cut and play on free scrap before you attack your truck! If you make a mistake, no harm - no foul! (of course my wife has mentioned the scrap body pieces along the fence by the driveway once or twelve times.....)

I have learned that lots of sandpaper is your friend. And good sandpaper is a better friend. I went through a lot of Harbor Freight sand[aper. Took a lot more effort than good sandpaper - so it really wasn't a good buy.
