I need to get my go pro mounted on my windshield. I just blasted through drifts in the middle of a snow storm to go pull out a friend of mine who lives in a small town (less than 200 people) 10 miles away.
Out of curiosity how many of you are that guy, you know the guy who gets the phone call cause someone is stuck or is having technical problems. Seems like me, my brother, and my dad are. Don't get me wrong I enjoy be able to be relied on you know the prepared one who can think on the fly, makes you feel good but some times it can get old. I just remind myself I'm lucky to not be the one on the other end of the phone needing the help.

Just make sure you are educating them. you know, so that it reduces the calls to you.

Another recovery, from a backyard. This heavy Burb was really embedded.
He couldn't do it. Would have maybe caused damage, plus not much room in front.
Tried a single ****** block pull. I wasn't far enough and it was pulling me still. So we used 2 winches, each with a ****** block. Plowed mud slowly to finally break free.
Towed back to driveway. Rear axle messed up b/c he tried (last resort) to use a strap to wrap onto the tire as if to winch back. Doesn't work with the loads and open diff.

Agreed Billy the 97!!
The tree was the anchor for both block pulls. (s n a t c h is a blocked worked lol)
oxy---sure, for ppl that have no winch. Last resort is definitely digging everything out from underneath to get to the axle. hard wood for the jack sit on to lift the from axle. If you lifted from the hitch, which is good, then you'd need alot of stroke to start lifting the tires from suspension droop.
