Edit: Missed your questions.

Yes I'm also going to build a rear bumper. Will be plate and square tube.

Thanks dudes. Jeeps aren't the only rigs with stingers. lol

Here are some daytime pics. Added some gussets and paint. Only had 1.75" tube left rather than 2". Thought that might look too odd for the horizontal piece, so left it out for now.

On the bottom, I'm planning a removable skid plate portion. Either plate, or bent tube or combination. Not sure yet.

I went undamaged till literally the last 1/8 mile coming out. Worse in our group was mega built Land Cruiser (carrying canoe) in our group that flopped on its side. He was messing around and neglected how much weight was being carried. Will try to get that pic later. Tranny fluid was needed and had to hack saw off passenger side tube protection.

My damage is here, which is pretty darn benign considering all the Toyotas that came out in worse shape (not our group).

Cracked the infamous rigid plastic gas tank skid plate

This also impinged on the strap that holds it such that it kisses the driveshaft when the rear axle articulates. Only within a 1/4" or so.

So all minor schtuff. My bud's green dodge sacrificed rear driveshaft doing a crazy obstacle at Little Sluice called Chicken Line.....at night. I have that on GoPro...but can't really tell anything.

Amazing trip and amazing country.

Indeed.

I'd post my videos but being at work it's blocked.

Feel free to search my username on YouTube to find the channel. You'll see I got some footage of the Green Monster, albeit not completely showing it's prowess.

I think your 95 would make a great wheeling rig, presumably setup properly.

I've got to look at the FSM and figure how the skid plate strap relates to the fuel tank mounting. Either bend the strap back and gusset it or something else.

I have actually looked at your stuff on youtube before, I will again sometime soon.

I will do some light wheelin' with my '95 when I get back home, but the plan is to keep it a daily driver/tow/work rig for a while, and either get serious with my Power Wagon and build it into a dedicated wheeler, or pick something else (smaller) up for the same purpose. I am super excited to get back into the scene.
