Wheeling a fullsize
I just ordered a shackle flip kit, trying to help my axel wrap in the soft stuff by deleting the block. I was wondering who knows of a good way/parts to flip the u-bolts when deleting the block?
I think there is a kit out there for that as well......
Indeed. All it is is a couple plates to put the u-bolts through..... I would hope for that kind of money, it came with the u-bolts as well??
That kit does come with the bolts. I just need to get under my truck and do some measuring I think. I can get the plates cut by the local steel supplier and I have a drill press. The bolts are the hard part, I also need to look at the pack and see what I need to do for the centering pin.
Shackle flip requires a zero rate or offset block and degree shims. Zero rate has holes to reposition axle with center pin. The lift is only happening at rear mount, so the shift to recenter in wheel well, then shim to account for pinion angle change if still stock driveshaft with tcase slip yoke.
if still 1500 leaf springs, then 2.5" width

Other places offer similar above. I made my zero rates. Ubolt flip kit from RuffStuff. Measure tube diameter.
Don't waste on DOR.
