Idk I have a dog we got from the spca and she's a great dog don't get me wrong but whoever had her before beat her and now she's not interested in any effection so how it was raised is a concern in my opinion.. like it will always be someone elses dog

I would spend as much time as you can, trying to get to the know the owner. Then you can get a feel for how the dog was treated. How its been raised up to this point is crucial to know. I didn't get to see the ad, but why is she getting rid of her?

First thing you should ask to see if she is currently on a heart worm preventative, then is watch how she eats around another dog, see if you can grab some food out of their dish.(believe me kids will do worse)

Also have a vet check out her back hips, teeth and ear infections.

I have two female full bread shepherds and they constantly get ear infections, just keep an eye out to see how she responds to other pets.

They are absolutely the best breed of dogs why else would 80% of law enforcement trust their lives with the k9 partner.

At 4 years that dog still has a long life, mine come into heat about twice a year, about a month apart from each other.

They are mother (4 yrs) and daughter (2 yrs) and get along just fine.
The hardest part is trying to find chew toys that last more than a day, the best so far is a rope ball that is about a foot in diameter and has to rope knots coming off each end.

Cool to hear! Give her lots of love but be firm about who is the pack leader. It won't take long for her to bond to you and you'll have a good guardian & faithful companion.

Just talked to the owner he says keep her on her toes , he says when she sleeping if you yell her secret word she knows she will jump up and go streight to the door and windows looking to kill .

She's so hyper my other German wasn't like this .

Will prob think about getting her to havr puppies down the road ! Anyone have exsperiance with this ?

Also lazer pointer for 3 hours lol and when u stop she looks for 20 mins to find it

I wouldn't breed her. There are too many dogs in the world as it is. Honestly, I would spay her and enjoy her company while giving her a good home.
