where to get the intake manafold turtle

turtles have been around for a while.. they've been used in a lot of intake manifolds.. the one that I saw for our 'kegs' was like a miniature sculpture of a mountain, for lack of better description.. it sat (was epoxied) on the belly pan.. it 'reduced' volume of the keg and 'sposedly better directed air to the outboard runners.. it makes good sense on paper, but in practice i'm thinking that there is a little more to it than a simple sloped design.. it would have to be mathematically designed with volume:flow:velocity and be reconciled with the dead pockets in that kegs corners, which would still be providing a area of high pressure.. meaning, it may work wonders at a certain RPM range and velocity/volume of air passing through it, but not for others..
gains would be nominal, if present at all is what I'm thinking.. otherwise, there would be turtles sitting in every home town weekend drag cars intakes across the nation, and everyone would know and have an opinion on them..
maybe it would be a great thing for something like a marine engine, or maybe a generator, that sits at a certain range indefinitely.. I just don't see it for cars/trucks though.
