Default 87 Octane with ethanol or 93 ethanol free

The only place close to where I live that sells ethanol free gas only sells it in the 93 Premium Octane, well besides the boat docks but my truck don't float .

Should I just keep running the 87 with up to 10% ethanol or would It be worth the extra money to get the 93 with no ethanol. What's the price difference? Like 40 cents?

Or Maybe I should use this as a reason to get a tuner

You can use StarTron to remove the ethanol from the gas... When I use it in the truck I see a steady 1.5-2mpg increase in daily commute.

I tried that after seeing all the positive reviews and Nothing changed whatsoever. Didn't get better or worse, it's like I never put it in

My wife has a '98 Dodge Caravan (E85 Flex Fuel), I've tried StarTron in it and noticed the same thing, nothing. But it definitely works for me in the Ram.

I'd hate to have to buy 93 just to get ethanol free gas, not sure it would really be worth it in the long run, especially with the way gas goes up and down.

I figure it's at least worth a try.

Gas has gone down here for now, 87 is about 3.28 a gallon

i think it depends on what your current gas mileage is? if your last last fill up was at 14.8mpg you would save $6.32 if you gain 1mpg and $11.90 if you gain 2 mpg. to me it is worth the extra $10 to fill up with the ethanol free 91 octane gas. my truck seem happy and sure proved it the other morning when i floored it and the tires had no problem spinning. since you live in the US i would guess the difference is less than $10.

My current Mileage is pretty steady at 10.5.

If I get 13 I would be like a 5 year old at Disney world

i say try it and see if your truck likes it. whats the worst thing that can happen? its not like running good gas would be bad for your truck once in a while.

Also, it's only 10 or so bucks difference... not much at risk here haha. I am casually starting to search for ethanol free gas... If I find it I might give it a try.
