I wasn't aware of this, but really I had not taken the time to check into this topic.

Apparently the Golden State here is not required to report the ethanol %.

I mostly get my gas at Costco, which only offers 87 and 91. Mostly have been doing 91, but last couple tanks changed to 87 to see what kind of difference, if any.

I keep forgetting to pick up Star Trooooooooooon.

This thread just makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy.

Well I can't comment on mileage yet as I still have gas to burn.

But I will say the back tires light up a lot quicker now. Seems to run better overall and pull harder, but I could be imagining things so ehh, will see what the mileage comes out to be

Ethanol free gas has netted me over a 2 MPG increase In all around fuel economy. I'm gettIng 12.2 miles to the gallon with mixed driving. So happy right now

Before switching gas I was lucky to get 10.5 on mostly highway drivin.

Also, I switched back to ethanol gas for one tank to see if it really was the gas, and sure enough my mileage started to plummet.

if you gained 2mpg it is definitely worth running it. i would guess you are saving about $10 per tank by running it.

I was surprised by such a gain, but if you think about how awful ethanol really is for your engine, especially old school engines like ours, it makes sense

Well that is appealing Ham Bone.

I just found the label on Costco pumps the other day -- 10% ethanol.

Now need to find a pump, if any, that is 0% and compare. Wonder if it will emulate you. In any case, a good experiment since fuel cost has dropped a bit lately.
