Question Tire size q & a?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to put a 215/65/17 tire on a 1995 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9l v8 magnum laramie slt without lifting it up at all. I found a good deal from someone and don't want to get them and later find out that they would be too big to fit without anymore lifting than is already on the truck.

I currently have 285/65/16 tires on the truck that has been lifted about 4 or 6 inches (not sure how high- i just traded for it from a guy).

I know the truck comes stock with either 225/245/265 depending on the model.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!

285/65 or 75?

A 315/75/17 outta fit on it if it has a 4 in lift. You might rub on full lock a bit, but hard to tell until you get them mounted.

215 is smaller. Should not be an issue.

215/65/17 are those from a charger? thats alot shorter than stock. should not rub, but may scrap on the speed bumps. the dakota side of this site has a really good write up in the diy section about tire sizes

Default 215 or 315 ???

No, I meant a 215 with stock dodge rims already mounted to them. Would those be too skinny for the truck? I am looking to find some for a spare or some extra tires to use just in case I ever get a flat or blowout.
