so i bought a 99 dodge ram 1500 laramie 4x4 it has a lift on it. how can i tell what size lift it is? i want to lift it more but need to know what im dealing with first. i would guess its a 4 or 5 inch skyjacker but not sure how to tell.
If you can post some pix of your truck that would help. Grab some measurements of the bumper height, space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the wheel well, what colour are the front coil springs and control arms? Need your tire size as well.
Without pictures id say 9 inches of suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift
ROFL.......
OP, also measure the thickness of the body mounts and any blocks under bed. Also see if leaf spring mounts look different than OEM....and pics would help...just sayin....
Is that a spacer on top of the coils (the pics are way too small)? If so, I'd say you got a 5" SJ suspension lift with 2"-3" spacers... the back looks lower than the front, is it not? You'd have to get pics of the leaf srpings and blocks, etc to know whats going on back there for lift.
To gain more lift you can either get a 2" or 3" body lift which is around $300 or so.
Or, buy all knew suspension lift parts i.e. 7" lift coils, trackbar, pitman arm, and blocks or AALs for the rear. Not to mention getting the angles right for the driveshafts (longer shafts, indexing ring), longer brake lines, shocks, dual stabilizers, etc.
