So here is the build sheet for my '98 2500 4x4. Anything cool in there? And why doesn't it say I have the Dana 60 rear? It says DRDP 200MM Rear Axle ????

4.10 gears are pretty nice

As far as the Dana rear end, read this: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...my-99-ram.html

DSA Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle
That's nice.

SBAS Power Rack and Pinion Steering
*snicker*

Good luck finding that rack and pinion unit.

So it's a Dana 60. What is up with the rack and pinion?

You don't have rack and pinion. Seems dodge plays pretty fast and loose with their terms, and it isn't something they have bothered to correct. You have recirculating ball steering.

I know but what the hell? It's not even similar to rack and pinion.

I'm not lucky. I'm pretty. HA!

I only paid $1350 for it so it's not perfect but it's a great start! That and I was sick of building Cherokees. I've had eight of them. Sad ain't it.

I traded a very nice 91 Cherokee 4.0HO/AW4/np242 (that I paid $750 for) straight across for my '95 Ram. Sometimes I consider the fact that for the 6K I have put into this truck since I bought it I could have a badass XJ, but I really do love my truck. I am seriously considering picking one up when I go back home though, this time with an ax-15. You should post some cool pics of your past xj builds
