Hi guys, been a lurker here for a while... I have an 01' 2500 with the cummins and I'm getting real tired of the sloppy steering.... I am looking to get a redhead box and install it myself, however the one thing I fear is the re-installation of the pitman arm... Is it one of those things that can be installed only one way or am I going to have to align it and pray that my steering wheel isnt going to be sideways? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Once it is all assembled, take it for a drive, and see how it looks. Take it from there. If you haven't had an alignment for awhile, wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.

10-4 thanks fellas, looks like something I can easily handle, I had an olllllld Merdedes once, the steering box blew a main seal and the effin wheel was off 10 degrees after the swap (just a plain old splined shaft) ive done tie rods, drag link, ball joints, track bar, tires within 6 months.... I went with the xrf crap and I have a feeling that the track bar went again... Was contemplating going with the ssi 3rd gen upgrade...

If the trackbar is shot again in under 5k miles im not satisfied... The truck isnt used commercially... I know they have a lifetime warranty, but do I really want to contact them and have to do repeated installs? Know what I mean? Thats why I was thinking of doing the 3rd gen upgrade... I am going to get under the truck this weekend and let you guys know what I find....
