Default Just bought a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport.

Bought this Ram 1500 yesterday as a first truck for highschool! Very excited to have a Ram. Has the 318 in it. Bought it for $3500 with 188k on it, Runs great! and shifts smooth, Today I did a coolant flush on it, boy was the coolant before in it disgusting! Also adjusted the steering box there was 2 inches of play :O ... No knocks or ticks, my question is are these 318 pretty reliable? Hope you guys enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy my truck, Does have a different front bumper on it because a fender bender, but it is the Sport Package, I think the black bumper looks sweet with the black rims. Thanks guys~ Alec btw:http://s356.photobucket.com/albums/oo3/alec1381/ Link to the pics of the Ram

Check the plenum.

Have a look thru the faq section here for common repairs. With a 188K on the clock, it is passed time for the timing chain and gears to be replaced.

It's more or less impossible to kill a 318 or 360. They are complete tanks.

However they suck gas, a lot of gas

Actually for my area it was cheap, I live in Boise,Idaho. One similar to mine was $4500 with 175K! So to me it wasn't to bad of a deal... Sorry link to pics were private.

You could make them public!

I bought my rig in Georgia with less then 140k on the clock for $2500. 100% rust FREE.
