Default Cold Air Intakes on our Ram's why is there no love? lol

I've noticed a lot of people here dislike the very words "Cold Air Intake" around here. It seems if you're sucking air from out of the engine bay you're bound to pick up some improvment in power or at least maintaining the power and that it couldn't hurt to have one. Theres a ton of heat under the hoods of these Rams even after only a little bit of running, and thats got to have an effect on horsepower & torque.

What gives?

The stock air intake is more or less a cold air. It draws from the inner fender, not directly under the hood.

Plus there is not one cold air intake out there that pulls from a colder spot.

The "cold air intake" actually draw more from under the hood than the stock air box.
