random timing chain question
Haha believe what you want she picked it out i was driving it because i had to drive 120 miles a day 6-7 daysto a week for work, i got laid off and the first week while laid off i was driving it i got tboned now im restoring it when its done ill be driving that again.
So....yea...
So....yea...
Ok dug into timing belt....and i cant tell if its good...there no dry cracks what so over....and theres marks on the gears with a paint stick so i think it may have been done...belt looks to be in great shape...nothings chewed up all the rips look clean and no dry cracks like i said....
This is what scares me...the belt feels a little loose, and this has a manual tensioner so i can tighten it up. BUT its not loose enough to jump time its nice and snug on the gears but on the right hand side it goes straight down and i can push it about a half an inch in. Now should i leave it? I dont want to tighten it and find that it was as it should be. Like i said theres no way it would be able to jump time its no that loose...just has a little slack...
e done chains never a a belt
