Your axle must be off-center because I have run Nitto 285s both before (stock) and after a 3" lift and never had rubbing. Do you have a different track bar?

It's rare that HeyYou misquotes things or is thinking of other vehicles, but stock backspacing (at least according to this resource) is 5" not 4.5".

To be sure, take one wheel off and measure your BS. hahaha that reads funny.

A BS of 4.5" (probably what might have been thought to recommend) is about right for our trucks. No rubbing on arms only a kiss on the inner fender well plastic for your leveled front. Or you may not touch at all.

Yep, you are correct sir! Seems stock backspacing is indeed 5"...... Don't recall where I got the 4.5 inches from......
