Default What carrier to get for my 9.25?

Hey everyone, I'm looking at swapping my rear gears to a 4.10 and looking at also installing a new carrier. I'm really leaning towards the Detroit True Trac. Does anyone have this carrier and is there any others out there besides the DTT that are comparable?

What size tires do you want to run? And what do you do with your truck?

I have the stock aluminum 16"s with 265/70/16 during colder months and 2011 Ram forged aluminum 20"s with 275/50/20 during the warmer months. May go down to 18"s eventually. It's a street truck only. Maybe driven 2 or so times a week. A weekend warrior truck is what it really is. Rich at hipotek said the 4.10 gears with the Detroit TT would be great with all my mods on my truck especially since it's a 2wd.

Looking at tire sizes and such, I think Rich's recommendations are actually pretty good.

I had 4.10 gears and a Detroit truetrac installed about 6 months ago. I have 315/75?r16 (35 inch by 12.5 tires) and i find i have more than enough power with the 4.10 I ran my stock 265/75/r16 during the break in period and had all kinds of power, it was actually quite impressive. So far i have been more than happy with my Detroit truetrac it always spins two tires on asphalt and gravel.

Right on, thanks for the great info. I don't do any off roading like you do but I do see some snow and ice during the winter months. To have that extra traction during the winter months is a must. That's if I have to drive it that is. This is more of a weekend warrior truck so it is very sheltered lol
