Default tint ticket?

rolled up to a checkpoint on an exit ramp today, window was half way down when i rolled up cop still gave me a tint ticket anyway. All he printed on the ticket was side windows not transparent. he never actually put any tint meter on it and measured it. my question is is this easy to fight since he never metered it? or am i better off just paying the 100 dollar fine and being on my way? he was kind enough to say it does look sweet though as he walked off....

What are the laws in your state? Some states don't allow tint on driver and pass side windows at all, others allow differing degrees of tint.

the written from the dmv website is 70%vlt on the fronts and the back windows have no limit what so ever. Most times the cops around here allow up to 20% on the fronts without issue. I knew id wind up with a ticket eventually but like i said just trying to see if its worth trying to beat or just paying the 100 bucks.

Just pay it and be done. Fighting it could result in being told to remove it all together

Paying it, and leaving the tint....will most likely get another ticket.....

ehh, ive had them tinted like this for close to 8 months now and have never been stopped, drive past cops all the time with windows up no issues. Just happened to be in another county today where cops are stricter about everything in general. Im not worried about being stopped again.

I'm not worried either.......I am just smart enough to not get ticketed for the same thing twice, expecially when one conviction proves THEIR point...just saying...

70%? what's the point of even having it..and 20% is going to get their attention no matter what, it's just depends on the cop if your gettin the ticket. It's understandable what cop wants to walk up on a ride they can't see in? If $$ isn't an issue leave it and pay the fine but plan on it happening again and again..here if you want to fight it you have to bring your ride down to the state troopers where they test it. Fail and they make up take it off and have to prove you did within a certain amount of time. You have a nice looking truck which will **** off cops sometimes too..roll of the dice man
