Thanks! Right now I'm just going through it and addressing the "just bought used car" stuff and some of the what seem like common problems like wandering steering and a spongy brake pedal.

Gotcha.

Yeah, I had to do that with my truck too. It had lots of play in the wheel (redhead steering box fixed that!) and some awful brakes...

Nice looking truck and it's nice to see another V10 with leather. Put a tuner on it. An SCT with a hemifever tune will be the best bang for the buck you spend on the truck. It'll replace the death flash from the factory, turn off torque management, move torque converter lock-up to above 50 mph, and give you a choice of 3 tunes for towing and performance.

V10s did not have a plenum so I don't think they really had a "death flash" per se.


But still a very good upgrade.

The V10's had a ping problem. Chrysler did a death flash and retarded the timing to get rid of ping along with a lot of the power curve rather than fix the actual problem. Mine had it. There's a decal on both the ecm and the radiator support with the flash number.
