Adukart, thanks. I really liked the look too and wanted tow hooks on the front, so it's a win/win.
Ramman. I know. I agree with the black wheel thing being everywhere. Here in town, every truck has them and they're kinda fugly looking. I couldn't find a chrome wheel I liked in a 17x9 size and believe me I looked. Everything is on national back order including the chrome version of those grid wheels. These are a glossy gray with the chrome inserts and look a lot better than the pics show.
What was wrong with the old chrome wheels? And the chrome rocker trim?
Still, I think you have the best looking truck on here. Wish mine was that clean still. I guess 18 years and 233k miles takes its toll.
Thank you for the compliment. I'm at 17 years and 135k.
Last spring we replaced some panels that rust had eaten despite my best efforts to hold it at bay. Both front fenders and the passenger door were shot, the body along the bottom was full of rock chips and I wanted to replace the front bumper cover. Part of the issue were the stainless panels. Even though the back side was completely cover by the adhesive tape, salt made it way back there and had its fun. Getting the panels off was a major pita in itself. After paint I decided not to put them back on to prevent any future issues.
To keep the thread on topic, here is a pic of cool ram air hood I saw in town. I like it a little better than mine.
Here is how she sits now. 01 Ram 2500 24V 6Spd in the bed PO swapped a 12V Auto into it. I swapped a 360 into it. I got it with a 96 Cab and interior with a hackjob of wiring and no axles. She will have her original 2500 axles thanks to HeyYou. She sits on 17in rims and 35 Toyo Open Country M/Ts with 4th gen tow mirror and front bumper with a winch like the PWs have. 3rd gen rear bumper with 4th gen style trailer plug and 3rd gen center seat with under seat storage. Parts I have that need to be installed: 4th gen center console, ARB air lockers for 2500 Axles switch panel, 44in tires, 5.12 gearing, Atlas transfer Case, paint, and 4th gen floor storage boxes.
How I got her with the hood, drivers 'door, and axles installed. With all the parts I have into it now, including price of the truck, I have $800 into it.

So when ya wanna come and get the truck? Are you at least back on this side of the continent yet?

I'll get that truck even if I have to work you the money. Honestly man grandparents are getting old and never went to the doctor so they are in "very bad" condition. Grandma had a UTI for 2 months nothing will touch it so they did a test and found strep in her urine and she don't know it yet but that is usually a sign of cancer.
