I hear ya's.... Had to move everything out of the old house into storage units, as the first bank I dealt with decided **** sex with me would be good...... (I sure didn't think so....) Then, had to move everything from the storage units to the new house once I found a friendlier bank.... that sucked. I have MS to begin with, so, I only have a few good hours of heavy labor per day.... and having to force myself to go ten and twelve hours for a couple days in a row, twice..... pretty much did me in for about a week. Each time.... I have gotten kinda used to walking upright..... and not having to be spoon fed. I rather liked it. Really pisses me off when I am basically a lump on a log.

Remember those old Western Airlines commercials? "... the oooonly way to fly!".
When I moved from Lewisville, TX to the Albuquerque area in 2000, relo (including temp housing, packing nd storage and delivery 9 months later when I bought a house) was provided by the company. THAT is the real onluy wy to fly. But in the non-profi world, not an option. And getting old is a bitch for sure! Having plantar facitis is no help!

One of three things needs to happen next - the owner of this game ranch needs to just sell me the house and one acre...or I am going to just die here...or I go back into upper managemetn in the corporate world.

But at least here in the Austin area, there are more opportunities for excellent employment than in a rural area such as Eastland if ever leave TAASA.

Garage is about 50'x30' with tools and equipment sprawled out from one end to the other. It will be next week before I even get a chance to try to begin getting it organized....

So was mine -- but I'm self employed so it's just not the same.

On the up side, I can smoke pot at my desk.

Hell I'm young and I still hate moving, especially when it's in the South Georgia heat, although I'm sure Texas is a bit worse.

And UnregisteredUser, Hell yea!

I was self employed a few years ago, but my company treated me like crap. Retired now, much better.

Oh...Did NOT need THAT visual! And the second part is "funny...don't care who you are!" ROFL!

And VW...PM me when you head this way. Got to get the beer in Texas - that 3.2 Okla stuff won't cut it here! (Grew up on the TX-OK border, so I had WAY too much of that years ago!)

Made the final round trip to Eastland yesterday, getting back around midnight. Loaded car trailer with roll top desk, washing machine, antique dining set and patio furninture, two miles of garden hoses (well, maybe not that much) and ladders. Hooked up car dolly to car trailer. Dam rig looked like Jed Clapitt had loaded it (except for Granny's chair...)

I am so glad to have this done!

I worked out in garage some on Saturday installing work benches and pegboard, unpacking boxes, and putting tools back in roll around. Installed shelf and stereo - gotta have tunes!

I was going to take RV out for a 125 mile trip on Saturday, but it had been raining for 3 days. Cannot go out through drive because RV is too tal so I have to use another gate about 400 yards north - with no gravel drive. Since I do nont have a D9 Cat, I didn't go there. Start stratightening up garage was a good alternative.
