Default Installed New Exhaust (Pics & Vid)

Well since most of my exhaust fell off a while back I decided to throw in some new stuff to appease the neighbors. Main purpose was to quiet her down and prevent rust without breaking bank. And since we all know that without pics - it didn't happen, I've included some and a vid with a parts list. This may take a few iterations so bare with me

Stainless shorty ebay headers (these I've had for a while)
Magnaflow 12256 Satin Stainless Steel 2.5" Oval Muffler
Magnaflow 23285 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter
2 Ft. 90° Stainless Steel Pipe Tube Exhaust 2.75"
Dynomax 33241 Stainless Steel Strap Band Clamp

The Magnaflow cat fit very well, I recommend it. There were some gaps between pipes which I expected given this wasn't a kit. What I found worked really well was the 12" x 1" stainless metal strips you can buy at ACE at different thicknesses. You can get a really tight fit and a finished looked with little effort.

Thats pretty nifty there man. I like it. I just put a Magnaflow 12268 (2.5" single in/ dual out) muffler on mine yesterday and ran the two pipes out the side at a slight angle towards the right rear tire. No pics uploaded yet but I like it.

This is coming from a Flowmaster 40. I just wanted something a bit more mellow. It seems like it has a bit more power too.

That really sounds beautiful! I have a magnaflow 40 installed now and got sick of it the second day I had it. You've inspired me to make mine quiter. I just want a quite and meelow ride. The only thing I'd change would be to give it a dual exhaust to the back. One last question, could you give us another sound clip of it idling and reving just to hear the highs and lows of it? Thanks.

I went a little overboard on the redo.Re-routed the tubes away from the tranny (350degree)temp drop.3 in stainless,Jethot ceramic coated in/out and total welded system,NO clamps,Exit threw 5 in MONGO stainless baffled tips, and I don't have to move any pipes to get to the tranny.....

Yeah I contemplated welding everything up; I figured I can always go back and do it if it gets loose or leaks. But my welder isn't setup for stainless at the moment and it'd be a bit of investment for me to get it there for a few inches of weld. Just didn't seem economical at the time. So far so good anyway.

If I get motivated I can get another clip, but what I have posted already is about it. It's pretty quiet.

I like how you routed the pipes out the sides. I dont know why I didnt think about doing that. I bought a cheap Summit Racing exhaust package just to get my truck back on the road. Its decent, it works and I dont mind it, but its killing me that I had to remove the spare tire to install it.

Yeah so far positive reviews for me. I do like that it's a fully open design; I should have taken an end pic but I think their website probably shows it well enough. Good sound etc. The real test will see how it holds up this winter.

Well you did save some weight on the bright side. I chose to do it this way solely to save pipe cost. Plus I had duals before and didn't mind something different.
