Those are only 55W. They light up the road pretty good on the bumper, 100w would be brighter.

Those are pricey, but Wal-Mart sells ones just like that, with metal housing, glass cover, 100w for $15 a piece. Exactly identical to those SummitRacing ones.

Oh awesome, I'll have to go down there and pick some up. Did you think the 55W ones are worth it? Just thinking maybe 100W wont be enough. what do you think? In your experience would 2 100W's be enough? Also how was the clearance with opening the hood? (clearance between the lights and the grill)

You might want to check out Harbor Freight's off road lights as well. Grab one of their 20% off coupons and you can get a pair of 100W halogen off road lights for $28. I dont have any on my truck to show you, but have been thinking about getting some. And it's nobody's business whether or not you can afford to go wheeling or put lights on your rig. I'm unemployed at the moment, so I guess I'll get some smarta$$ comment just for thinking about it.

100w should be plenty bright. Plenty of room to open the hood and plenty of space between light and grille.

How many you need depends on the intended use.

You go ahead and mount those 4 lights to the bumper. It's your truck. Do what you want. Just make sure you wire correctly with relays and such and don't burn your truck up.

You mean so they will be in the way every time you have to do something in the engine bay right? Like fix the plenum, tune up, air cleaner, IAC clean/replace. Many more to list. LOL

Now zman does have a point, I had mine spaced out which allowed me to stand in between them but if you like to stand on the bumper while working under the hood they will be in the way, especially 4.
