We're Screwed.
I understood what you were saying.. I interjected:
Our armed forces are citizens themselves. They will NOT stomach taking up arms against themselves.. ain't going to happen.. this has long perplexed govt types.. its well documented..
On an aside, the is an EO that prescribes a police force better trained and equipped than our military, even describing the structure and management.. it said nowhere that it will be made up of American citizens.. that is flat out scary to me..

Everyone should go visit Colorado for a few days, chill out, then carry on with their lives
The same can't be said about fuels...cause guess what, If I choose to say F the oil companies and make my own bio diesel, know what will happen?! I will get hit by the government for f'in tax evasion!!! means I could go to prison and get fined tens of thousands of dollars just for making my own damn fuel and burning it in my own vehicles. That is my point with the oil companies...we have no choice but to fuel our vehicles from their products. our foods and products come made or contained in the plastics that most of that petroleum from those companies gets made in to. When I buy alcohol or hot sauce, I get it in glass bottles. glass is not a bi-product of petroleum, and it does not taint the taste like plastic does.
tell ya right now, If I could afford a tesla S, I would buy it in a heartbeat. 300 mile range on electric only. never buy a drop of gasoline again for local commutes. commute all week on a single charge that takes 6 hours to charge...hell park it overnight in the shop plugged into 220v, drive all week long, plug it in 1 night again...not bad at all... power may not be cheap, but it is sure as hell cheaper than gasoline and diesel.
It's fixin' to snow and get really cold this weekend, and right around my neck of the woods there are no vacancies within 60 miles because it's third combined rifle season so everything has been booked solid for ten months or more.
Yes indeed, I am a very fortunate man and if I were superstitious I'd be on my knees mumbling into my hands giving thanks to some imaginary friend or other.

I don't think a revolution is out of the realm of possibilities. I believe those in power know this and try to steal and lie as much as possible to stay under that threshold. In the meantime they are robbing us from getting ahead or even maintaining. You look at history and societies and you will find that the wealthy rise up to govern. Then families like the Kennedys have generations of politicans, they believe they are entitled and have lost touch with the reality of living. I have been a registered independent and even voted for Gary Johnson for president. Now being from Kansas I knew we wouldn't be favoring obama and that would be a safe vote. It would be nice to have a solid Libertarian candidate/party that mattered.
Yes it is, and surprisingly civil for a political thread. I could go to any forum on the net and find a thread like this that gets super nasty. I don't think that level headed Americans with no agenda really ever talk amongst themselves in any venue that I can think of anymore.....well, in recent memory that is. It's become apparent that the attack on our wallets is not going to be enough of one.
Today on the radio and TV news shows, there is still the talk of what the Repubs did wrong, where's the party going, will the Dems be able to keep their promises, etc. In real life....normal middle of the road people get along and honor each other pretty well IMO. The problem is that we're just too damn silent and too nice in relation to the current invironment.
It's certainly not, but I think the majority of people are too docile in our easy lives to make much of a ripple. I could be very wrong on this though. If motivated in a certain way, maybe.
Now...in a year or so (maybe even sooner) when Congress and Obama will HAVE TO do something about deficits and budgets, things will get VERY interesting. No matter what anyone thinks about rich people, you can never tax them enough to even make a dent in what is needed. There will have to be cuts and the biggest place there is to find them is ENTITLEMENTS.....there is no way out of doing this. And when you owe your political fate to the people who practically voted you in based on that (this goes for Congress & the President), they are not soon going to forget it. They will either vote you out, just not show up next cycle and become disenfranchised with the system. And forget about the healthcare reform. That itself is an entitlement mostly. I don't see any way they can balance this cluster along with other entitlement cuts and budget cuts without absolutley screwing everyone acros the board. It's just not doable. Something will have to give.
