You did the plenum yourself, right?
Same process mostly. It is actually suggested that if you have the means to go ahead and replace the timing set and water pump while doing the plenum.

If you do replace it, get a nice double roller set.

Yeah did the plenum myself. The water pump was just replaced before I bought the truck (the person I bought it from gave me receipts for everything she had done, basically 8,000 dollars in the last two years) Unfortunately none of the work included the timing chain, although she did buy new heads.

Ill look into the double rollers.... I hear it makes a nice sound

Rockauto for one.
That's likely where I'll get mine, Cloyes Double Roller with 3 keyway cam gear.

I think the bottom one should work.
Just make sure it's for a 5.2/5.9 Magnum, an LA model won't work.

I don't think that part# 2103 is correct, looks like for a older model 360. Search more.

I still had the box from my Cloyes double set...part #C-3028X is the one with the extra machined slots if you want to run stock, retard or advance timing.

A timing chain will not make the obnoxious sound that timing gears make. I bet that's what you are referring to.
