Bought a new car today!!
I traded my wifes 2007 dodge caravan for a 2012 Chevy Cruze LT. I know its not a dodge but lets face it, most of dodges newer cars are pieces of junk. I get a good discount on new cars since i work there so i took advantage of it. Its a really nice car though and me and the wife are happy about it. It has almost every option except for sunroof, foglights, and leather. It has a 1.4L Turbocharged motor, 6 speed auto trans, and gets about 38 mpg on the highway. I managed 30 mpg on the way home today romping on it and getting off the interstate twice!!! Here are some pics.

trade it for a TDI quick!!! lol
nice wheels for your wife. long as she's happy with it, thats what counts.
I miss my old TDI jetta. 38mpg hot rodding constantly, and 45mpg driving like a civilized person...
and every luxury from heated leather seats, power everything, 9 speaker bose sound system. air bags everywhere. she died from getting rear ended by a ford exploder
shoved the trunk into the back seat.

Just keep an eye on the trans. The people we're buying our house from bought one. At the 500 mile mark the trans went out. Other than that I havent heard anything bad about them. Bt then I havent been around any either.
Not really my taste, but it doesnt look bad though.

yeah my drive for work is 84 miles round trip and she has to drive about 12 miles further than i do. So we got this to commute together in. I just cant afford the to keep putting $110 a week in my truck to drive to and from work. So hopefully this works out well. we should be able to go from spending $170 a week in gas to about $50. should make up for the new larger car payment easily.
Not to worried about anything going wrong with it since its got a 100k powertrain warranty and a 36k bumper to bumper warranty. It will prolly get traded back in at around 50k

The biggest "quality" complaint about any newer Chrysler has been about the hard plastics in the interior not mechanical issues, no more than other manufacturers anyway. I'd take the Dart over that any day, but the Cruze seems to be a decent little car.
