I can drive a tractor manual, but that's about it.

Haha in the case of our tractor manual it isn't even synchronized so no on the go shifting except under extreme load on hills... So 'bout time for you to drive the manual truck!

If I could find someone willing to let me borrow their vehicle, I would.

My grandpa's tractor is a ShuttleShift, which I guess is synchronized.

It doesn't take long for muscle memory to take over the shifting so you don't have to even think about it. And only a bit longer for the feel of floating the shifts to kick in. The hard part is remembering to roll the window down before flicking your roach, and then having to put out the groin fire with your beer and hitting the trash dumpster anyway.

Shuttle Shift and Synchro are two entirely different things. Shuttle shift has to do with reversing on the fly without a complete stop, and that is a great feature 'cause the reverse gears are just slightly slower than the forward. But in order to have shuttle shift it usually has to be synchro. So point is: Shuttle and synch are two different things that complement each other.

Oh, okay. Well, I am not a tractor person. But it does shift pretty quick though. Ratios are insanely tight though, still, tractor I guess.

I learned to drive a stick in a old Dodge Pickup, 4wd, flatbed. My stepfather's dad taught me on his land, thing was easy peasy to drive. Hell, put it in Reverse and it would practically back up for you without ever touching the gas....

A good stick driver should be able to idle just about anything around without having to touch the gas.
