Good to hear! Just so you know 180 stat is only recommended if you have a tuner

I have a nifty feature called "Auto Heat" in my truck, once it's warmed up, it blows heat, non stop. Kinda nice feature in the winter time. Sucks in the summer, have to bypass the heater core to stop it.

Farkin blend door/ crappy hvac crap.

I's got tools, just don't feel like messing with it now. Need a new heater core anyway, doesn't leak anymore after some stop leak crap (let the flaming begin) wanna do it all if/when I do the heater core.

I can relate! I put mine off for months. I had no blend door problems -- cable actuation for the mufkin win! -- but the heater core, dash, and bezel were screaming at me every day. That job is a real PITA. But now that it's done I'm not a hypocrite when I give people 5h17 about not doing theirs so I'm going to take my fun where I can get it!

^^ +1 my dash replacement was a pita, but taking it out the second time was much easier since it was all in one durable piece haha.

Good to read. I did the plenum cover and gasket last year. And fallowed the recommendation for the 180 stat. The heat sucks! I've been reading threads hear for the last hour or so and keep hearing either air trapped in the core, or heater door. I ""think"" the door on my 97 Ram is cable operated, so I don't think it's the door. My next step is to put the stock 195 back in and park it on a hill nose up to burp the system.
